A partial inventory of the parts the car came with has been conducted. Shortly, the body will make it on a lift once some long term projects here at BCM are wrapped up. We can then evaluate the first steps to take with the needed bodywork. In the meantime an April 1968 dated coded 428 Cobra Jet shortblock has been dropped off at Precision Engine Machine Co. of Hyattsville Maryland for final machine work and assembly where it will be in the good hands of Mike Norris.
I first met Kevin in the late 1980s. We were both members of the National Capital Region Mustang Club (www.NRMC.org). Kevin had just completed the restoration of a 1965 K-Code fastback. The first time I saw the car was at a local NCRMC show. Kevin drove in and was not happy. The driver’s front upper shock mount had come loose allowing the shock to travel upward putting a dent in the hood from the inside. Kevin was one red hot Irishman that day.
